Event details

Tue, 03/09/2019 - 10:00am - 4:00pm

Join David Brown, Warwickshire County Recorder for Macro Moths and author of The Larger Moths of Warwickshire for a brief journey into the world of moths and butterflies.

The beauty and diversity of this fascinating group of insects will be illustrated with a selection of colourful slides. In addition a selection of live examples of seasonal moths will be brought along for viewing.

This taster session will briefly touch upon a number of topics including camouflage and survival methods, life Histories and migration, plus a brief look at the role these creatures play in the ecosystem.

It is hoped this short session will promote interest and a desire to learn more by joining the Winged Splendour series of meetings later in the autumn.
