Warwickshire Waterways Strategy
The Warwickshire Waterways Strategy is a countywide collaboration to promote and protect the county’s canals and rivers, and the wildlife they support. It is part of the wider Warwickshire Heritage and Culture Strategy and is shaped around the same three themes: health and wellbeing, sense of place and economic vibrancy. The aim is to increase public awareness and use of waterways environments in a responsible and sustainable way - for leisure, pleasure, learning, healthy exercise and active travel. By promoting our waterways as visitor destinations, the strategy also supports the local economy.
