Wildlife Watch

  • On Friday 13th May pupils of Priors Field Primary School in Kenilworth will be journeying out into the depths of their Environmental Area to conduct an ambitious study of it’s native wildlife inhabitants. The event, which is commonly known as a Bioblitz, will involve all the children and teachers from the school in a day of various activities capturing and recording as many different species of plant and animal as possible.

  • Today sees the launch of a nationwide campaign by The Wildlife Trusts, called Every Child Wild, to highlight how disconnected children and young people have become from nature.

  • A local nature reserve in Coventry, Stoke Floods has seen a recent spate of incidents which have been unsettling for wildlife and local people. The nature reserve which is owned by Coventry City Council and managed by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust is located adjacent to the river Sowe to the South of the city.
