Work Experience

Welcome to the work experience page!

Unfortunately there will be no work experience placement weeks available this year as we are reviewing our offer in order to make your conservation experience as valuable and rewarding as possible.

Alternatively, if you are over 18 then you can be enrolled as one of our volunteers through our volunteering scheme

If you are under 18 you will need to have a responsible adult over 25 to supervise you on our volunteering days. Please contact Wendy Knott for more details - wendy.knott@wkwt.org.uk

Our previous work experience programme has offered students the chance to be part of a small team of young people joining our regular work force, learning how we manage and care for our nature reserves and meeting people doing a range of different roles at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust work experience programme has offered individuals the chance to experience the workings of a small/ medium conservation charity that is responsible for the management of 65 nature reserves, engagement with over 10,000 school children annually and a variety of community engagement projects around the county.

One thing that the Trust does not do is the handling and care of wild or domesticated animals. Placements at the Trust have shown how nature reserves are cared for and managed, how we go about surveying and measuring the wildlife in these areas and how we engage with the local community on a range of environmental causes.
