Working Groups

Interested members may also contribute to the management and direction of the Trust by joining one of the more informal Working Groups. Vacancies will be advertised from time to time in the magazine, e-newsletter and website. Working Group members can also be co-opted as necessary by the respective Working Group Chair or Chief executive.

The Trust currently has three working groups overseeing the following areas of our activity:

  • Nature reserves working group
  • Living landscapes working group
  • Marketing and membership working group

These groups undertake detailed policy work for the Council, provide advice and support to staff and volunteers as well as scrutinising the Trust’s activity. They assist in the preparation and development of policy for the organisation. They comprise a Chair and a membership drawn from trustees, volunteers, staff and external specialists and meet 3 – 4 times a year.
