Dunsmore Woodlands and Brandon Marsh Officer

Salary: Grade 3a: £24,480 - £30,600 depending on qualifications & experience

Closing date: Thursday 19th April 2018

Location: Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, Brandon Lane, Coventry, CV3 3GW

Job ref: DWBMO-18

Can you implement and deliver sustainable woodland management that allows reinvestment for wildlife gain? Are you confident developing a landscape of reserves around our headquarters that are rich, well-managed havens for wildlife that showcase Warwickshire Wildlife Trust as a destination for people and wildlife?

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust is embarking on a new strategic plan whereby we want to sustainably futureproof our large woodlands for wildlife and develop a linkage of new reserves and land management opportunities around our headquarters and visitor centre at Brandon Marsh – taking its regional importance to a nationally important level. This work is integral to achieving our Living Landscapes vision.

We need a person with the knowledge and passion for wildlife to help us do this. That person will be seen as the go to individual in relation to all aspects of delivering our long term woodland management strategy and expanding the scale and scope of what Brandon Marsh and surrounding land delivers for the Trust – both of which will demonstrate what we encourage our partners and stakeholders to do on a large scale.

You will prioritise engagement and promoting our message along with recruiting and nurturing volunteers and stakeholders to meet our aims.

A core part of your role alongside the day to day management will be to innovate – identifying opportunities to sustain our work through our assets whilst supporting and implementing creative management over large areas of land for the Trust to meet its ambition.
