Harvest Hill

One of the last remaining wild daffodil meadows in the area

This site is one of the last remaining wild daffodil meadows in the area. It is rich in other spring flowers and has diverse mature hedges and a small pond.

Seasonally grazed by a small flock of sheep in order to maintain the meadow and ensure the survival of the daffodil population, the reserve boasts a handful of woodland flowers such as bluebell and lesser celandine. Other typical meadowplants include pignut and cowslip, with coarser nettle, thistle and bracken attracting numerous insects.
