Together in nature

This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is loneliness. Something that affects millions of people in the UK every year. Connection to others, whether that be family, friends, or the wider community, is so important for our mental health - but it’s been disrupted over the last two years due to the pandemic.

We understand how restorative nature can be and how wonderful it is at connecting people. Whether through volunteering activities, education or our wellbeing events, nature can be a great place to make friends.

This week, join one of our events and take the opportunity to meet new people or spend some time in nature.

Most of our wellbeing events are free of charge to make it easier for people to attend. Here's what's on this week:

 

Monday 9th

Mindfulness taster session at Leam Valley / Newbold Comyn (Leamington Spa),
10 am - 1 pm. Book your place.

 

Wednesday 11th

Dawn chorus walk at Welcombe Hills (Stratford upon Avon), 4:45 am - 7 am. Contact Dan if interested at dan.loveard@wkwt.org.uk or 07342999703.

Birding group - beginners welcome! Brandon Marsh (Coventry), 2 pm - 4 pm. Contact Rosie if interested at rosie.charter@wkwt.org.uk.

 

Thursday 12th

Conservation Taster session at Whitnash Brook (Leamington Spa) 10 am - 1 pm. The session will involve willow management with the group. Contact Kat if interested at kat.reay@wkwt.org.uk or 07703192198.

 

Friday 13th

Wildlife Watch After School Club at Brandon Marsh (Coventry) with the Education team 4 pm - 5 pm. Book tickets (£4) here.

 

Saturday 14th

Wellbeing festival in the Pump Room Gardens (Leamington spa) 10 am - 3 pm for chat / walk with Dan or Kat. A free event with over 30 stalls focused on your wellbeing. Learn more.
