What does our Marketing and Fundraising team do?

The marketing and fundraising team at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust aim to raise funds to make more space for nature, with more people on nature's side. The team are also tasked with raising the profile of the charity, so that more people are aware of the important work that the Trust undertakes.

Lindsay leads the marketing and fundraising department in promoting a compelling case for support for the Trust’s mission which generates unrestricted income, and further support in the form of advocacy and practical assistance.

Lindsay says "The remit of my role is broad, overseeing the Trust’s membership, marketing, fundraising and visitor experience teams. I have 16 years of experience in fundraising, marketing and communications and leisure and tourism, gained in both the corporate and third sectors. My areas of expertise lie in strategic planning, brand development and relationship building and I am excited about the role I have to play in delivering our 2030 strategic goals, in particular bringing the importance of people taking action to the forefront of nature’s recovery."

Lindsay says: "I have always loved nature and wildlife, spending as much time as I can outdoors with my husband and young son. I wanted to work in a role that contributed to protecting our natural world, and the Trust has given me the opportunity to use my skills and expertise to do just that. I manage the membership team, overseeing recruitment and retention of members, growing the charities income & supporters to the Trust.  I also manage legacy administration and in memory giving for the Trust.

Donna says: "Having great communication skills is important for my role, enabling me and my team to deliver an excellent level of customer service to our members and supporters. I support the Trusts strategic objectives within membership services, searching for creative opportunities to build our membership offering. I enjoy walking, spending time with my family, watching wildlife programmes and sitting in the garden when the sun is shining."

Visitor Experience Manager

Erin's role is to develop Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's visitor centres and deliver a quality visitor experience showcasing the Trust’s work, as well as generating income for the Trust. Part of Erin's work is to help tell stories in a way which inspires everyone to act for nature. A big part of her role is ensuring our centres are engaging and inclusive places, where everyone feels welcome and knows they can play their part in acting for nature.

Expertise

Erin said: "Prior to joining the Trust, I spent 5 years working in the corporate world of live music and events. My main interests are spending time out in nature and birdwatching. I love exploring new places and will happily spend hours roaming around woodlands, marshes and up hills, seeing what is around and just enjoying the calm that being out in nature brings."

Erin said: "I have been fascinated by wildlife since I was a child, so I enjoy the opportunity to combine my love of nature with my previous experience of customer service and providing people with an enjoyable day out. Working for a charity isn’t always easy, but it gives you real job satisfaction knowing what you are doing is making a difference to a cause you are passionate about."

Grace is responsible for raising funds to help make more space for nature with more people on nature’s side. The fundraising team works with generous individuals, Trusts and Foundations and Corporate Partners, who all share our vision for a wilder Warwickshire.

Grace says: "My background is in fundraising, and I’ve worked for organisations of all sizes, from a small community charity to a top University. My particular interest is people; I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and finding different ways for them to connect with the Trust."

Why Warwickshire Wildlife Trust?

Grace says; "I chose to join Warwickshire Wildlife Trust in 2022 for a few reasons. Firstly, I wanted to do something that would make a real difference, so when I read about the ambitious 2030 strategy and realised how transformational it could be, I knew I had to do everything I could to help make it a reality. Secondly, the climate crisis can feel overwhelming at times, but I find it reassuring to work for an organisation which is actively trying to solve the crisis. Lastly, I love spending time outdoors, and feel incredibly lucky to be able to explore beautiful Warwickshire as part of my role."
