Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership Scheme

In April 2014, the Tame Valley Wetlands Partnership was awarded £1.7 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to deliver the Tame Valley Wetlands Landscape Partnership Scheme (TVWLPS) – a large, landscape-scale scheme covering 104km² in North Warwickshire and South Staffordshire, with local people and the area’s wealth of built and natural heritage at its heart.

Over the last couple of years, and with funding from partners and HLF, the Partnership has carried out detailed development and constulation work to fine tune the scheme. This culminated in a second round application to HLF in December 2013, which included the production of a ‘Landscape Conservation Action Plan’ – a detailed plan for the scheme and the Partnership’s mandate for the landscape.

The scheme will begin in April 2014 and run for four years at a cost of £2.5 million (with full funding still to be secured).
