Expertise

Amanda says: "I have worked for the Trust for 15 years and throughout that time have always worked with people, helping to motivate people to volunteer, developing and  delivering new and exciting opportunities for children and young people to find out more about the wonders of nature and helping people to feel better through actively spending time in nature. I enjoy working in partnership with others, particularly new organisations and looking at how we engage new audiences."

Why Warwickshire Wildlife Trust?

Amanda says; "I feel passionate about the invaluable role that nature plays in society, but also what it provides for us as individuals. I enjoy seeing the tremendous work that the Trust does and the enthusiastic people we work with but most of all I love to see the change that nature can make for people, seeing a child’s excitement at seeing a frog for the first time or the improvements to someone’s health having taken part in one of our wellbeing sessions is enormously gratifying."

Anna says: "My key passion is supporting people to build nature into their daily lives to help support their wellbeing. I come from an environmental management background so I understand the needs for us to conserve wildlife and natural spaces for our futures, but I also really understand the need for more people to care about and value nature to help us protect it and improve it for everyone."

Why Warwickshire Wildlife Trust?

Anna says: "I work for the Trust because I believe in its values and believe it plays a vital role in protecting nature for us all. I also love working with such a dynamic, motivated and understanding team who come together to support each other and achieve all we can for nature. I also know that there are very few jobs that marry up my passion for nature and wellbeing, and I feel very privileged to have this role and work with such a fab team!"

Expertise

Dominic says: "I have been organising across Birmingham and Coventry for over a decade, listening to a wide range of people and communities. Listening to their hopes and aspirations and connecting likeminded people together around shared values and ideas. Developing people, their skills and building trust and relationships to create strong networks that can take collective action to create change where they live.

This takes time and with the trusts long term commitment to recovering nature, we have the opportunity to not only to take action in our community but to collectively come together to challenge power and make sure a greener future is a priority for everyone."

Why Warwickshire Wildlife Trust?

Dominic says: "We are reaching an irreversible tipping point with our natural world and we need to work collectively to tap it back in natures favour for our children, their children and future generations to come. I want to be part of shaping that future and not look back whilst people wonder why we ignored what was happening to our environment and our climate.

Experiencing the natural world is new to me and over the past few years I have started to realise the power of being connected to nature for our own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I want to share the benefits of that experience with others and hopefully reignite a passion and care for nature."
