Curious children's workshop to discover the contents of an owl pellet.
About the event
This workshop is for curious young people aged 8 + to discover the fascinating insight into the secretive lives of owls.
In this exciting, guided session, participants will:
- Carefully dissect a real owl pellet
- Identify tiny bones from rodents and other prey
- Learn how owls hunt, swallow, and regurgitate pellets
- Reconstruct skeletons
It does require patience to work slowly to dissect the pellet. Children must be properly supervised by an adult at all times to avoid the risk of infections. For this reason, we are unable to welcome younger siblings on this session.
