There are so many trees to see, and this session gives you the opportunity to get to know one a little better. 

Join our education manager Vicky at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve as she explains how to use simple resources to identify a tree. You will also learn how to find out the age of the tree using some clever maths.

When mearing trees use this table to calculate the age:

Species of tree - Growth of girth per year (cm)
Average - 2.5
Oak and beech - 1.88
Pine and spruce - 3.13
Sycamore - 2.75
