Wilder Organising

Sparking a people-powered movement for nature and wildlife.

What is Wilder Organising?

Wilder Organising is about people coming together to shape the future of their communities - for nature, for each other, and for future generations. They help create the people-powered engine of the #TeamWilder movement by building relationships, skills and confidence at a local level, to turn ideas into action.

Wilder Organising sparks a movement for change by unlocking the power and potential already present in your community.

What we do

A Wilder Organiser listens to what matters most to you and supports to create change. They empower residents like you to lead and develop your own ideas, build connections with like-minded neighbours and turn those ideas into something bigger.

We are community led so don’t come to neighbourhoods with any preconceptions or ready-made ideas. We:

  • Build relationships and support your ideas from the ground up
  • Listen to what matters  to you
  • Strengthen and connect people, places and ideas, and grow leadership in communities
  • Support you to organise and take action for nature-positive change
  • Amplify community voices in decision-making
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor Volunteer Wilder Organisers.  This could be you!

Wilder Organisers also work behind the scenes building trust with councils, organisations, schools and other local stakeholders to connect local voices where it matters.

Why it matters

Wilder Organising  is bottom-up change, not top down conservation. It’s creating a future where nature is part of everyday life, whether that’s fighting for improved green spaces, taking on housing developers to make more space for nature, or transforming streets for wildlife, Wilder Organisers are here to support you.

Where we work

Our wilder Organisers are currently embedded in neighbourhoods in Leamington and Nuneaton, working with residents and supporting grassroots action.
