Follow My 12 Days Wild

Follow along as I take part in our mini Christmas challenge, 12 Days Wild, and do one wild thing a day from 25th December to 5th January!

Day One

On Christmas morning we headed out for a walk to work up an appetite before lunch! We saw robins, blue tits, and even a roe deer in the woods.

Day Two

The challenge for day two was to take a close up photo of nature! I had seen the friendly robins at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve and tried to coax one over for some seeds.

Day Three & Day Four

After some wildlife yoga on day three (try it for yourself here!), on day four I went for an evening walk as the sun was setting and listened to the bird song.

Day Seven

The challenge for day seven was to make a nature-friendly new year's resolution; mine is to keep filling my bird feeders and providing vital seeds for wild birds in my garden. It's also a good idea to clean out your bird feeders at this time of year, to make sure there is no damp or mould which can spoil the seeds!

Day Ten

The challenge for day ten was to see a beautiful winter sunset. Well, unfortunately it had been very cloudy but I did get up early for a frosty sunrise walk! Our early rising was rewarded as we saw a goldcrest, which had been on my bird bucket list for the winter!

I hope you enjoyed seeing a few of the wild activities I've been up to over the festive period. To join in yourself, you can sign up for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust membership with 50% off in our January sale!
